Lashalsflenzen of lashalsflenzen kunnen worden onderscheiden van alle andere soorten flens door hun lange taps toelopende hub. Gelaste pijp

Expanderflens is een lashals pijpflens waarbij de nominale grootte van het niet-gesplitste uiteinde groter is dan de nominale grootte van het flensuiteinde. Ze kunnen worden gebruikt om de grootte van een pijprun te wijzigen. Deze worden meestal gebruikt om de lijngrootte te verhogen tot het eerste of tweede grotere formaat. Dit is een alternatief voor het gebruik van een afzonderlijke combinatie van reducer en lashalsflens. De expanderflens kan worden gebruikt om buis aan te sluiten op pompen, compressoren en kleppen.
